Interesting

I heard the other day that the Conservative Party has laid out a plan to allow self employed parents to take maternity/parental leave. From what I read, you pay into it for a minimum of six months then can claim EI after your baby is born. Being self employed I do find this quite interesting. I realize though that there are always a lot of big promises made during election campaigns and usually 99.9% of them do not come to fruition. I have a feeling that after the federal election on October 14th that we will be in the exact same position we are now, with a Conservative minority government.
