Today my sister stopped by with the boys for a visit. They were in their storm trooper costumes, looking cute. My sister said that on the way over James (who is 5) asked what kind of dog Kiwi is. She replied that Kiwi is a schnoodle which is half schnauzer and half poodle. James asked her which half was poodle. Haha.
Then my sister said to him, "Well you are half mom and half dad, which half is mom?" Just to help him to understand the concept. But he said, "My legs?" Haha, kids are funny.

I was just reading some reviews on Amazon.ca for some Veggie Tale videos. I am thinking of possibly getting one for my nephews for Christmas. I always liked Dave and the Giant Pickle so I looked for that one. There were numerous 5 star reviews and only two 1 star reviews. One of them said that they seem like harmless cute cartoons but they 'push religion on people'!! The one that really made me laugh was the other one. I will copy and paste it:
"I think that this is inappropriate for kids, because they should not grow up thinking that vegetables can talk. This should be taken into consideration before purchasing this video. My daughter now talks to any vegetable that comes home with the groceries."
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Quote of the evening
We had Thanksgiving dinner tonight at my sister and brother-in-law's house. After hardly eating any supper the boys ate a number of snacks (bun, banana, apple, cookies) in the evening. My aunt looked at Will (who is 3) and said, "Where do you keep all that food? In your hollow leg?" He looked at her and quite matter-of-factly said, "No, it turns into poop."
After everyone stopped laughing until they cried, my sister said that last week Will had asked her where poop comes from. Lorne just laughed and said, "Yeah, most kids ask where babies come from...not Will." Such a funny little guy.

I got my hair done today. I haven't had it cut or coloured since the end of May and it was needing some attention. I have started to grow my hair out a bit so I am able to go longer between haircuts, which is nice. When I go to the hairdresser for a colour I usually have plenty of opportunity to catch up on celebrity gossip. They have all the best magazines at the salon. I believe that Star and People magazine make up at least half if not more of their magazine collection. Those are the ones that my hairdresser usually gets for me when I am waiting for my hair to colour. I don't think I found out too much new today. Mostly that I am out of touch with the new young celebrity crowd. I didn't recognize a lot of names or faces. I guess that's what happens when you refuse to read or watch the Twilight series, ha!
There was one article in one of the magazines about stars who had 'beat cellulite'. There were pictures side by side supposedly of the same celebrity who on one side their fat butts were bubbling out of their bikini bottoms, the other side, their skin was tight and smooth and perfect. You can't tell me that there was no photoshopping done to those 'after' pictures. I know that probably 90% or more of magazine photos are touched up to get rid of wrinkles, pimples, rolls, soften skin, etc. It got me thinking. I know someone who has photoshop on his computer. I wonder if I should get Jay to take a bikini picture of me and make me look all hot and magazine worthy. Haha. I asked him if he could paint me a six pack. I think he has more important things to do with his time, but maybe someday, if we are bored we'll give it a try.

Sarcasm
One of my favorite things in the whole world is going to the doctor once a year for a physical exam. Other than the overall physical discomfort of the whole thing, my very favorite part is when the office assistant leads you into the room and asks you to strip off all of your clothes (but you can leave your socks on, if you want, she says) and sit on the table with a paper vest on in place of a shirt, with your bottom half covered by a paper blanket. Then you get to sit there and sit there and sit there for at least a minimum of 20 minutes waiting for the doctor to come in and see you.
If it were a more perfect world we would all wear paper clothes each day, because first of all they are disposable (don't need to wash them)! And secondly they are INCREDIBLY warm and cozy. There is nothing like cuddling up on a cold winter's morning in a paper vest and a paper blanket. If there was a fireplace in the doctors office it would have been absolutely perfect. The most unfortunate part of this whole business is that I won't get to do this again for a whole YEAR!

The Simpsons, as applied to real life
Jay, as you know, I've been playing Wii, and I've developed a
taste for it. I have to say that getting my own Wii is the
only way to go. Now before you respond, you must understand
that your refusal would result in months and months of...
Can I have a Wii Jay?
Can I have a Wii Jay?
Can I have a Wii Jay?
Can I have a Wii Jay?
Can I have a Wii Jay?
