My very first jack-o-lantern

We decided to do jack-o-lanterns this year. Jay wanted to do one, and I figured I should do one too so we have one for each side of the door on our front step. Jay opted for a more evil looking one so I figured I would do a funny/goofy looking one. I found a pattern for this face online and pretty much followed it completely. I figured it would be much harder to make round eyes with rounded pupils but it wasn't too bad. We use a utility knife to carve adn it works quite well. Maybe next year we should invest in a small carving knife of some sort and try something more intricate. Though I must admit that I prefer the pumpkins with faces to the ones with designs or pictures on them.
