Little house on the prairie...

A couple of months ago we signed up for a service on the Century 21 website. We recieve emails about new house listings as they come available in the areas we are interested in. We just wanted to keep an eye on what is out there, even though we were pretty sure that we wanted to build. Nothing very interesting had popped up until Friday. There is this interesting house, in a good location, that's a little too expensive for us. I realize you can only tell so much from a few pictures of the house, but what we have seen we like. We weren't planning to make any moves in the house department for probably at least another 8 months to a year but what do you do. Maybe if we were to go look at this house we would realize that it is completely inappropriate for our needs, but maybe it would be a perfect house to go in and modify and make our own. I know that sometimes when you aren't really looking you find something good....but hmmm....what to do. It has now been listed for 5 days, which sometimes is an eternity when it comes to houses. I think that the price is too high, but maybe we could talk 'em down. *sigh* Gotta go back and weigh the pros and cons of building vs buying and modifying a house.
