So for the last 2 weeks, since we opened gifts, I have been working on writing thank you cards. I finished my last one last night. Unless we get any more mailed in gifts trickling in....then I will do them on a gift by gift basis....but for the most part I am done. Now I have been to a few weddings in the last few years, and for the most part (I did get at least 2 that I can think of....) I have not received a thank you card for the gifts I have given. Is that the new standard? Or are people just lazy? I know it's a lot of work....but it is definitely possible. Am I mistaken that people like to be thanked for buying us a gift. I appreciate being acknowledged. Even if the couple returned the gift I purchased, I like to know that it was appreciated. What do you think?
