In the last couple of weeks I have actually felt sort of like I have a real job. Not that I don't usually feel like it, but the days of a massage therapist can vary incredibly. Some days I have no appointments, some days 1 or 2 then some days I have 5 which is the most I like to take in one day. Today I had 3 and I actually feel pretty good, not really tired at all. Anyway, this past week I have had to go to work in the morning every day and I have also had a couple of days where I had to stay fairly late. I have put in a couple of 7-8 hour days this week. Not to say that I was massaging that whole time (or I would probably be dead right now), but I was at work trying my best to be productive when I wasn't massaging. Though I do have a good book on the go right now (This Present Darkness by Frank Peretti) which helps to pass the time. I don't want to count on anything, but the last few weeks have felt much more steady. Very few days with no appointments. Maybe after almost 3 years it is starting to level off a bit. That would be nice!!
When I was leaving work today I was pulling out of the parking lot with my car and I noticed a red light on, on the dash. I decided that I should pull over and use the owner's manual to try and decipher what this red light meant. I found out that it meant 'low engine coolant' and in the manual it said to pull over and add some coolant before continuing to drive. I don't generally keep a container of engine coolant in my trunk, so I did the next best thing I could think of. I called my dad. He is fairly knowledgeable when it comes to vehicles and he figured that as long as I kept an eye on the temperature gauge in the car as I drove home and pulled over if it got hotter than usual that I should be okay. Well of course you feel all paranoid when those red lights are staring you in the face :P But I did get home safely and when I was almost home the light turned off. Who knows what the deal is, but I think just to be safe Jason and I will check it out tonight.
We got our first set of drafted house plans back today! We got the call this morning and I stopped by and picked them up on the way into work. They look pretty good, I think that we will only have a few minor changes to make and it shouldn't take as long to get them back this time. It looks like most of the rooms will be a good size. Most importantly they listened to what we had to say and there is no 5 foot turning radius in the bathroom :P I spent a good amount of time looking them over today and It is pretty exciting :)
