Have you ever heard of people getting married and creating a new last name out of combining parts of their original last names?

A client told me today that that is what her son did when he got married. It got me thinking, I could have been Angie Boschbeiner, or maybe Angie Finkman. Okay, maybe not....

It seemed very odd to me.
