Alligator pie, alligator pie, if I don't get some I think I'm gonna die...

I went for coffee Friday night with a friend to McNally Robinson. They have great desserts in their little restaurant. Before we ate, we were browsing at some children's books and we came across Alligator Pie. This is a book that I had as a kid and it was SO nostalgic to look at it in the store. If it wasn't hard cover and $24 I might have purchased it just for the nostalgia. It is a book of mainly nonsensical poems for kids. I always thought the illustrations were a little bit creepy looking. I have had the poem Alligator Pie stuck in my head on and off since Friday night. Hopefully it'll leave me alone soon!
