When it rains, it pours...

We got our first offer on our condo today. It was exciting to see an offer, however they were $25,000 less than our asking price. That felt a little like a kick in the butt, but we decided that after our meeting with a realtor tomorrow (to see what he things he could get us) we will come back with our absolute lowest price we can take as a counter offer. Then there was a phone call from another couple who was interested in looking at our condo. They came to look at it tonight and spent about 40 minutes here looking in every closet, fridge, stove, dishwasher, opening every window, flushing every toilet, etc. They looked here quite thoroughly, then when it seemed like they were getting ready to leave, the woman's face changed and her voice changed. I wish I had a picture or could explain it better, but in my mind it was her dickering voice/face. She made us an offer that was $15,000 lower than our asking price, after she named a few things that she would have to change before she could live here. Then we explained to her why we listed at the price we did and she brought her offer up to $10,000 less than our asking price. I am still laughing at her dickering....kind of reminded me of someone at a garage sale. Here's hoping this keeps up and we are able to sell privately!!
