Happy New Year!

So it's 2005. It doesn't seem like 5 years ago that the big Y2K 'scare' was on. I remember that new year's eve. It was spent at a hotel in downtown Saskatoon with a bunch of friends. It was a fairly good night. One thing I do remember is that right around midnight, we were watching a movie, and someone accidentally sat on the remote and it turned the tv off....we thot Y2K had hit the tv. Weird how you remember silly stuff like that.

New Year's eve this year was spent quietly at Jason's. We watched the first half of Lord of the Rings Return of the King. I do really like that movie. I think it's my favorite of the movies. When it comes to the books, I would have to say that the Two Towers was my favorite. That was about all we did. Other than hanging out and talking a lot. I sure do enjoy just talking to him. I hope we don't run out of things to talk about once we ar married ;)

So it has really hit us in the last couple of days that the wedding is soon. All day on Saturday Jay and I would look at eachother and say "we are getting married in THREE weeks! eeek! yay!" It is a good thing. I just seems so soon all of a sudden. I am managing to get the little things done that need to be done. Today I went out and bought a whack load of candles from the dollar store for our centerpieces and whatnot. I also went to Superstore, and to my delight found that they had after eight mints (individually wrapped) on sale in the bulk bin for 49cents/100g. My first option was Lindt chocolates but they were $2.63/100g, and I didn't wanna spend that much. So I got about 300 of those mints for $12! Not bad if you ask me! Tomorrow Jay and I are meeting with Leyton to figure out our ceremony, and when the rehearsal will be. Then we can FINALLY let people know when we need them on Friday the 21st. I think that I will feel a lot better once we get that stuff sorted out!!

Tomorrow is my 24th birthday! Oooh la la! I was just telling Jay last night how much I enjoy my birthday. I always have. I never feel depressed that I am a year older, I always feel that is a time to celebrate. I think that I have always enjoyed it because it kind of falls within that 'let down' time that comes after Christmas. But I always have my birthday to look forward to during that time. Jay and I are celebrating my birthday tonite cause he is busy tomorrow night. He is cooking me steak mmmm and we are going to see a movie. I am not totally sure which one I wanna see yet, cause it's up to me ;) I am thinking Ocean's 12.
