Playing fetch.
Today we were down at the beach at Lac Pelletier sitting in the shade (as it was +37C), when this dog came up to us with a frisbee in it's mouth. It belongs to the people who live next to the beach in the cabin on the waterfront. I figured that she wanted to play, so I threw the frisbee and she fetched it perfectly a few times, then Jay's dad took over throwing it. The dog went and fetched it once, then the next time Dale threw it for her, she went and picked it up. Then about half way back to where we were sitting, she dropped it, squatted and took a dump right on the frisbee. Man did we almost kill ourselves laughing!! Jay's dad was like "Get the camera!!" Which just made Jay and I laugh even harder because really, who wants a picture of a dog taking a dump on a frisbee?? Haha, man, it still makes me laugh to think about it :)

I don't wanna work, I just wanna bang on a drum all day...

I just found out that blogger lets you post images now. I thought I would post a pic from our weekend at the cabin on the July long weekend. They have oodles of finches out at the lake, and his parents hung a finch feeder about a foot outside the window by the dining table. So we got lots of nice close up pictures of the finches. Anywho....
Just thought I would say that I had the busiest week to date this week. I think I saw 20 clients this week! Yay for being busy. It is making me kinda sore, but still worth it :) I will be leaving in an hour and half for Camp Kadesh to visit Arleen for the weekend. It is looking like it's going to rain, but it'll still be good to see Arleen even if we can't go swimmin'. Oh and today is 6 months since my wedding. It feels strange how the time has flown. It feels like it's been forever already, but in a good way of course ;) But yet it feels like it was only yesterday.....*sigh*married life is good!

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince
I finished reading Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince last night. And with a tear in my eye, I was shocked and amazed at the ending. I don't know if I can wait (I assume) another 2 years for the 7th and final book in the series to be released, not that I have much power over when it is. I just.....wow, what an unexpected ending.....I cannot believe they killed off such an important character, and even worse I can't believe who did the killing.....
This book was definitely one of the darkest in the series thus far and I firmly believe that children should not be reading about these things. I think as an adult I can understand, and take from it what I like. But children have such impressionable minds. I think if I would have read about (for instance) sailing across a lake that was full of re-animated corpses who were trying to pull me from the boat I probably would have had nightmares about that. But I suppose the children of today's society are much more 'exposed' than I was as a child. *sigh*2 more years *sigh*

Update
I know it's been a while since I wrote a blog, but here I am. It is July 14th, and I just got back from the dentist with my new night guard. It will hopefully reduce my jaw pain and headaches that I have been experiencing due to night time teeth grinding. Hopefully it will also let Jay have a better night sleep, not having to listen to the SQEEEEEK SQUEEEEEK of my teeth grinding.
Jay and I had a lovely long weekend at Lake Pelletier. I got to drive his dad's new quad, Jay got to take us for a drive in the boat and we got to meet the cutest little puppy from next door (can't wait to have a house, and a puppy). If you want to see any pictures, Jay will post them on his webpage very soon.
Work continues to go well. This week has been excrutiatingly slow, but I have not lost hope that it will pick up again. I found out last week that Jan (my coworker) is taking the month of August off because of some health problems. Hopefully that will give my business a boost. I am currently going through Shannon's files and finding people who have been in within the last year or so, and I am going to send out a letter, or maybe some post cards to introduce myself and tell them to come see me, or ask them to anyway.
I have read a fair number of books in the last few weeks. I got into the trilogy by Ted Dekker that Lynette had mentioned on her blog. I still have to read the third book, but they are super good! I also just read another book by Ted Dekker called Thr3e, it was quite a page turner, I read it in 2 days. Now I am working on the first book in the Redemption series by Karen Kingsbury. A few weeks ago Robyn recommended it to me and handed me what she thought was the first book in the series, but it turned out to be the 3rd book. I read it, and it was good, and sad, but I decided to start at the beginning now. I think I have already cried about 4 times in the first 100 pages! I am currently awaiting the release of book 6 in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. It comes out this Saturday and you better believe I will have it in my hot little hands before Saturday is through. Oooh so exciting!!
