So much to do!

So I have been thinking about the wedding a lot lately (now it's only in 25 days!!) and there is a lot of stuff coming up for me to do! Today I made a step in completing those things. I went to Safeway and ordered flowers. We decided that only the parents will have corsages, and that the groomsmen will have handkerchiefs in their pockets instead. Then Karen has offered to make me some nice simple rose bouquets. I think $13/dozen is a pretty good deal! Considering corsages were like $10 each and that's only for one flower and a little ribbon :P Then we need to put together the wedding favors, confirm all the services that we have booked for that day (caterer, photographer, pastor, etc.). I think we have finally hit that time where we have to get down to work again.

It has been a while since we have actually had to do much in regards to the wedding. We have pretty much been sitting back and relaxing since September. I would say that I am not stressed yet, but I think I should make myself a list of things to do so I don't forget anything. Above all I need to have faith that people will show up when and where I need them, and that the day will come together well. After Jay and I each having a bad dream about the wedding day going horribly, I am sure it will be fine, but it was a little disturbing. We truly appreciate any and all help offered to us during this next 3.5 weeks :) Yay for getting married!

Christmas and Food Poisoning

So Christmas was great yesterday! Started out the day at home, woke up pretty early (630, then dozed on and off until 730). Then we got up and went over to Robin and Lorne's for breakfast and to open some presents with James. That was cool, but James was more interested in the paper than the gifts. Except for his personalized rubber ducky. He really liked that :) Then from there mom and dad went home to start the turkey and I went over to Jason's place. His parents showered us with more gifts (including an Old Navy gift card and a 13 inch tv with built in dvd player for our bedroom!). Jay got me some lovely earrings, a new belt and a stuffed dog. Then I went to go home after visiting for a while, and realized that I had left my headlights on and my battery was dead :( So luckily Jason had some cables so his dad gave me a boost and I was on my way. Then the extended family, as well as Jason and his parents came over to our house for supper. It was a lovely spread. Mmmm turkey dinner! Then the men visited and the women set to cleaning up (in true Mennonite style :P). After all was cleaned up we finally got to open some presents. I got a wide variety of things including 2 charms for my charm bracelet, cds for work, a stuffed giraffe, the sims2, book 12 in the left behind series, a cranberry candle from the body shop, some $$, another Old Navy gift card, new mittens and a nativity set for Jason and I. It was very nice to celebrate with Jason and his family and I look forward to many more years of celebrating with them :)

Then I woke up this morning with what seems to be a touch of food poisoning. I have barely been able to eat today for fear of throwing up (tho I havent actually done so) and I just feel so tired and drained. I had a nap this afternoon and I felt like I had been drugged. Not sure what's going on, but I am hoping I will feel better tomorrow so I can see Jason *sigh* I am so in love with that man! What a sweetheart! The wedding is now in 27 days :) I can't wait to begin my life with him!

LESS THAN A MONTH UNTIL I AM MARRIED! AHHHH! WOOHOO!

I'm movin' out!

So in a month, I am moving out. I decided today, since I am not working that I would start sorting through some of my crap. It is amazing how much crap you can accumulate over 18.5 years of living in one place. I have been shredding old bank statements and Visa bills and throwing out a lot of stuff. Now if my dad saw me throwing stuff out he would probably have a fit, because he is a firm believer in not throwing ANYTHING out. That is why this house is so full of STUFF! Then there is Jay's condo that is already pretty full of stuff. After we are married, we will go through all the cupboards and whatnot and sort stuff out, and throw out what needs to be thrown out and garage sale things that need to be sold. *sigh* I am excited about living in a new place, but kinda dreading sorting through everything. That is why I am starting now, one month and one day until the wedding.

What a month it's been!

For the last 4 weeks at work, I have had at least 10 clients every week. Now that doesn't necessarily mean that I did 10 hours each week, because some people come in for a half hour, or 45 minutes. But it has been getting busier. After 2 weeks I wondered if it was just a nice fluke. But after 4 weeks of it, and I already have 6 clients booked for next week, I am thinking it's not just a fluke. My goal, when I started was to be treating a 'steady' 10 clients a week by around Christmas. Looks like I have made that goal :)

I can't believe that Christmas is in a week. The wedding is in 36 days and 9 minutes. And Arleen comes home the day after tomorrow!! eeek, so much excitment, I think I might burst!!

Christmas is a comin' and the goose is getting fat!

So I officially finished my Christmas shopping yesterday! I usually like to finish my shopping by the end of November, but there were a couple of small things that I had been procrastinating on so I went and picked them up yesterday. I also bought myself some little Lindor chocolates. Just these tiny little chocolate balls with that creamy 'to-die-for' chocolate inside. I think without hesitation I would have to say that those are my favorite chocolates. Mmmm chocolates! I need to make sure I don't gain weight over the holidays because on January 5th, I am going for my dress fitting for the wedding. I purchased my dress on July 8th 2004, and I don't think I have gained weight, but you never know. Might be a 2 week crash diet for Angie :P

This is the first Christmas that I have had time to just relax and take in the Christmas feelings in a long time! This year, I don't have final exams right before Christmas, which really sucks all the fun out of the holiday season :( I don't have to work at a job I hate on Boxing Day (like I did 3 years ago, when I first started at Impark). I am working a job I like, tho I could use a few more hours (things are picking up however....praying it's not just a flukey thing), I am looking forward to Christmas knowing that there is a lot more excitement yet to come early in the New Year.

I can't believe how time has flown since July. We are only 6 weeks away from the wedding! Not a whole lot of planning yet to do. Just the little stuff, and confirming everything closer to the wedding. I am glad that Jay and I had so much time on our hands to do the planning during the summer and early fall. Now we are just sitting back waiting for time to pass :) Yay for weddings!

vroom vroom

Jay and I got a car! It is not the prettiest car, tho it is soooo cushy inside. Why don't they make cushy cars anymore?? All the new ones are not that terribly comfortable. Not like our new car! It is a 1983 Buick Regal. The registration says that it is red, I don't know if I full agree with that, but yeah, it's reddish anyways with a white vinyl top. It has a fair bit of power, but with that said, I think it will use a fair bit of gas. I guess we will see. I don't drive like a sausage (as Jay would say), so gas will probably last longer than it would for some people.
