There's a first time for everything!

I have experienced a few firsts this week so far and it's only Tuesday!

- I got my very first cell phone (for work), and I have been having WAY too much fun programming stuff into it and playing around with it. I even gave Jay a one-minute phone call today just to make sure it works alright, and it does! It is a used Nokia 3285, blue and it fits just nicely in my purse!

- I went to my very first tupperware party last night at Karen's house. It was a good party, with a yummy cheeseball! Veggies 'n dip were also good!! I did not buy anything because it is expensive and I think maybe at some point I will buy some. I think I will wait though, until I see what Jay and I get for the wedding and maybe fill in a gap or two with an over priced item from Tupperware.

- Jay and I had our first session of premarital counseling today. Back at the end of August he and I went to the church and did a survey type thing, that Pastor Leyton sent away to be scored. Today we spent most of the hour and a half going through our results, telling Leyton how we met and what has brought us to this point in our lives and our relationship. We answered fairly similarly on most of the questions. But as Leyton and common sense tells us, this survey is not there to determine whether we will have a good or lasting marriage. It is there to show us any areas of weakness, growth potential, or possible conflict areas. We discussed a few things, then he gave us an assignment to work on then we meet together with him again next Tuesday for session number two.

- It is the first time in over two months that I have been without my engagement ring. Jay took it yesterday to Ben Moss to get my wedding band made. Since my engagement ring was specially made for me, they have to use it to create the band to be the same thickness and to determine the appropriate width. I feel naked without it, but until then (hopefully less than a month!) I have borrowed a cubic zirconia ring from my sister. She bought it from Avon. The 'diamond' is probably about 2-3 carats in size with 2 more one carat ones on either side. It's pretty gaudy looking, but makes me feel less naked without my ring. Oooh, and Jay's ring came in already (we had to order his size in), so I gotta go pick that up sometime!!
