Evil Banks

I dislike banks. I had no reason to until yesterday when I got my visa bill and saw that the new visa they had sent me because I was no longer a student, was one with a $35 annual fee. Now why would I want to go from a card without a fee, to one with a fee? I am sure their records show that I maybe use my visa about 5 times a year. I am definitely not in it for the points, but I have in case of an emergency, and just in general to try and build up a credit rating. So I called the Visa number on the back of the card. And just so you know it takes FOREVER until you can actually talk to a person, and if you hit the wrong number accidentally because all of the numbers are worn off of your parents phone, you have to start ALL over again! Yippeee! So after 2 tries I got on the phone with Andrew and asked why the heck did they think I needed a card with a fee!?! Well apparently it was MY fault because I did not call to update them on my status as a student. But my thought was, why did they send me a non student visa if they didn't know I was no longer a student?? Well anyway, Andrew said that because I called to complain within 2 months of receiving my new card that they would take away the fee and just send me the fee-less card. Bah, stupid companies. Maybe it's not the bank, maybe it's the evil credit people.
